ADA Signs

ADA stands for the Americans with Disabilities Act. Follow the link to learn more.

An ADA compliant sign will usually, but not always consist of the following:

Minimum letter heights as appropriate for sign use. (e.g. permanent room or space, overhead directional sign, etc.)
Raised tactile characters and symbols
Grade 2 Braille
Specific mounting heights and locations where available.

Please check with appropriate local authority (e.g. building, zoning, fire, etc.) before making a decision. Different states, counties and cities may have additional requirements beyond those as specified in the federal ADA guidelines.
